At the age of only 23 years, Florie Castellana is already a talented mixologist. She modernises Corsica’s iconic spirits with cocktails, thereby bringing new life to these drinks that are traditionally consumed by themselves and enhancing the sophisticated flavours of the Island of Beauty through her efforts. Coming from a family of starred hotel and restaurant owners, Florie has been immersed in fine cuisine and excellence from her earliest childhood. Given her genuine love for this world, she naturally went to a hotel management school and graduated with an additional specialisation in bartending. During her career path, she joined such prestigious institutions as the “Metropolis de Joël Robuchon” or the “Abbaye de la Celles d’Alain Ducasse”. Florie is a generous, hard-working and passionate person who never ceases to create new cocktails for her loved ones to taste. Intrigued by this vibrant creativity, her professors signed her up for many competitions. She was ranked 1st at the 16th international Calvados Nouvelle Vogue awards in 2012, thanks to her cocktail called “The Anti-Déprine”.

In 2013, at the Porto Latino festival of Saint Florent, the Domaine Mavela asked Florie to create a temporary bar for tasting cocktails using distilled spirits… It was a real success! As a result of the enthusiasm encountered during the event, Florie had the idea of creating a book in which she would reveal her recipes based on these iconic spirits of the Isle of Beauty. Currently Florie works in a prestigious property belonging to the Société des Bains de Mer in Monaco. At the same time, she devotes herself to her Signature-Cocktails of Corsica project, which will be released shortly in the form of a self-published book that is beautifully illustrated by the famous watercolour painter, Gérard Haton-Gauthier. The book, for which a print run of 3000 copies is planned, will be available on the partners’ website, in their stores and in certain selected sales branches.
