Interview with Alexandre Giudicelli, Chairman of Agence Immobilière du Golfe since its creation in 1994.

Alexandre, Agence Immobilière du Golfe is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. What have been the turning points over the last three decades?

When it was set up in 1994, the agency immediately made the choice of prestige property in Porto-Vecchio, where the sector seemed to be in its infancy but promising, and estate agencies few and far between.

And the years that followed have confirmed the relevance of this choice, both in terms of transactions and seasonal rentals.

The far south of Corsica became increasingly popular, and it was only natural that we decided to extend our presence to the Ajaccio region, more specifically to Pietrosella on the south shore of the Gulf, then to Bonifacio, in the heart of the Domaine de Sperone, and more recently to Cala Rossa.

This network means that we are now in the best position to meet the demand for exceptional properties from our prospective buyers and the growing requirements of our tenants, and has enabled us to consolidate our position as market leader.

What are the greatest challenges you have encountered in running your estate agencies in this luxury sector and in such a unique location?

On the one hand, the adaptations dictated by changes in the status of estate agents, who have had to evolve from simple intermediaries to specialists in town planning and asset management. The skills required are therefore increasingly specialised, but they are essential if we are to win the trust of a demanding clientele. And this seems to be even truer in Corsica than elsewhere.

The other major challenge has been to respond effectively to the emergence of digital technology and the internationalisation of the market. Today, in just a few clicks, whether you’re French or foreign, you can find out almost anything about a property for sale or rent. This is the daily task of our communications department: after the first contact, it’s up to us to make the most of it.

On the occasion of this anniversary, what is your greatest source of pride?

Without doubt the human adventure!

There were three of us when the agency was created, and today we have around thirty employees, each with their own background and specific skills (sales, rentals, communications, concierge services, property management and reception) but all with a common objective: to provide our customers with a consistently efficient and attentive service.

Thank you for your trust and loyalty!
